Autograph letter signed, dated : Berlin Sept. 6 1843, to [Rachel Felix?], 1843 Sept. 6.

Saying that the newspapers report that "Rachel, la Tragédie incarnée" has returned to Paris, commenting on the pleasures of domestic life after "la vie publique," saying that her own souvenir of Paris is Rachel--she admires the artist and loves the woman--, that the burning down of the opera theatre in Berlin will defer for a time the pleasure of seeing Rachel in Berlin (none of their other theatres being worthy to receive her), that immediately after Hagn's return she had an audience with the Prince of Prussia (brother of the king and hereditary prince), discussing the plans of other theatres in Berlin, mentioning Count Walesky, etc.
